One of the developments was the supply and installation of rail cross barriers near Al kharj Road, riyadh. The location has sharp curves for railway line towards left and highway to right. The system had to be custom made for the situation where sight distance is also shorter due to cross curves both ways. Electricity supply had to be supplied for a long distance from a HV substation.

Subsequent to a market hunt and technical survey, Vialis NMA Railway Signalling - Holland, was awarded with the contract to deliver the necessary tailor made system of fully automatic rail cross barriers.

Reda has successfully installed the system in a highly skilled and professional manner, which was well appreciated by the manufacturer and Saudi Railway Organization(SRO).

Testing and commissioning has been satifactorily completed and inaugural official opening been successfully executed in full attendance of SRO officials.

SRO is envisaging a major expansion and modernization of railway networks and sophisticated systems of rail and traffic management is on the planning stages.
